If your ever in Maine...
One of my favorite rides is from Rockland, ME down Rte 1 to Thomaston, then out through Cushing to Waldoboro where you pick up Rte 32 which is a narrow winding switchback coastal road all the way to Pemaquid point. It's about a 100 mile round trip once you get done visiting everything.
In Thomaston you can visit Montpelier..The General Henry Knox Museum.(General Knox was a Revolutionary War Hero...George Washingtons' General) ![]() Then in Waldoboro stop at Louie's Powersports... great people, exceptional mechanics, Diamo Dealer. ![]() Rte 32 Gives you lots of views like this... ![]() At Pemaquid Point it's like the end of the world! Nothing but Ocean as far as the eye can see... oh and a pretty cool lighthouse too... ![]() ![]() On the way back you can go further past where you started and visit the quaint little town of Rockport ![]() Your starting point is no slouch either with a huge harbor and lot's of Museums and sights to see. A commercial fishing mecca.. ![]() ![]() Sorry some of the pics look like ads for the scooter .. they were shots I took for the review I was doing. Visit Maine! Aaron |
