Storm 250 headlight bulb blown

I'll take a lazy stab at this.

Are these bulbs all similar or chinese specific or anything. I've the thing off a few times to fiddle with the speedo, but not taken the bulb out yet. It seems to be a large blob, larger than most i have seen.

The High beam blew the other night. So I need a replacement. At work right now and wanted to order. I guess it can wait.. lol you know how it is though.

On my old TMEC, it was difficult to find them locally--had to order from the TMEC distributor, Excalibur. Not sure if it is the same bulb, but you could try them www.atv4usa.com Do you have a photo to post?

Spud is the Man; he can definitely guide you towards either an OEM replacement, or a couple of upgrade options. He has tons of headlight experience.

I just got home from a 2-day ride to Grand Teton National Park. I'm guessing your bike might employ the BA20D bulb. Does the bulb look like this one?

I installed the same LED headlight bulb in my Honda CRF250X.

http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=13947

However, the bulb was a tight fit. I had to remove the driver from the bottom of the bulb, and shave the fan sink a bit.

If the LED bulb will fit in the headlight shroud, it's an excellent choice. If it won't fit, BA20D bulbs are sold on eBay, and at many scooter shops.

BA20D 35/35W is the "de facto" standard in Chinese bike.
