No electric power

I have the following scenario :

I turn the ignition on but theres nothing on. Head light, tail light, blinkers, control lights,
electric starter. Nothing works.

If I kick start motor starts right up, runs like a charm. Lights still don't come on though.

What I've checked:

Battery is good. Almost full, shows 13-14 Amps.
Main fuse is good.
CDI is ok (I have a spare one I tested).

The only thing I can think of, is that there must be an interruption in the tree somewhere?
any other suggestions ?

I have a Skyteam V-Raptor 250 (223 ccm motor)

No offence intended when I ask, how did you check the fuse?

I'd say there's something in the key switch assembly. If the electric scheme is correct, I'd look and measure first the BRown and Blue/White cables that come from its plug.

@Weld
yes, I checked on that. I didn't find any other fuses either, so it looks like theres only one.

Today I checked the wires in the head light to see if anything got disconnected, but was ok.

@Krasi
key switch I will check

I had some time today to have another look at the bike. I took the gas tank off, and I found the problem. The cable coming from the ignition was disconnected. Inside the plug there was corrosion, so water must have entered there too. I plugged everything back together and sealed the plug so in the future no water could enter anymore. The disconnection was caused because the cable was not in the correct place. When the handlebar was turned to the right it pulled on the cable too much which caused the disconnection of the plug.

Glad to hear you sorted out the problem! So the bike is back to normal function now?

Great news! How did you seal the connector?

Don't laugh... I cut the end of a rubber balloon off so I could slide it over the connector and used duck tape on both ends of the balloon to seal it. You could also use a condom so you could actually see through if the connector is disconnected!!

I agree, good thinking!

I've heard a saying that duct tape and WD40 built America, so you're on the right path
