139QMB GY6 Starter Motor Service Suggestion

139QMB replacement starter motors are relatively inexpensive, but if you like to tinker . . one technique to retract the brushes while re-installing the armature.

Package of hair wave clips was around $2.00 at Walmart.

Genius! Those clips are easily bent or modified to suit what you're working on.
