You could try high heat permatex stuff as a replacement for some - I've used it as a replacement for all kinds of gaskets before and even re-used head gaskets with it and had no problems. (for the head gasket I made sure I started with one that was still in-tact and even thickness)

Hi czowner
Have you tried contacting this guy, his shipping may not be as much if he can get you the gaskets you need.

If he can't one of the Lifan Dealers here can get the gaskets for you, but the shipping may be high. A gasket Set from Athena for a CRF230 retails for $128.95 here in the USA, and I would not guarantee all of the gaskets are the same. I hope that this helps.

Hi Bruce,
China-Parts are the spares wing of BTS Motorsport, who I believe have ceased trading, which is a great pity as I was expecting to buy my parts from them. I found them very helpful when I was converting mine from a dirt bike to a road bike.

Hey Jonathan--Any luck with finding a source for parts? Just wondering how the rebuild was coming.

I ordered some Honda CRF230 gaskets from Bikebandit.com Saturday, they have just arrived. The clutch case gasket is different in the kickstart area, the Chinese have used the old casing where as Honda has removed all traces of the old kickstart. The rest of the gaskets are 100%, so rebuilding starts this afternoon and I will find some gasket paper tomorrow when I am out.

I had tried to email you yesterday, but the message was returned as undeliverable for some reason. Glad to hear you are in business as far as gaskets go!

I wonder if it's possible that during assembly, an extra o-ring fell into the crank case?

That is my theory as well, by the amount of rubber I retrieved it was bigger than any "O" ring.
Fresh thread started on my new problem.

Jonathan.
