20 here this morning when I left the house. If this is global warming, I want to try some global freezing instead!

First morning in a while where there wasn't a minus sign in front of the outdoor temp. Sweatshirt today.

With the snowmelt and constant rain now, the waterways are starting to swell. We are looking at forties and fifties next week. From the 'Winter Wonderland' to the 'Grey Bucket Of Suck' in a week.

Sunday night it's gonna get a little below freezing, but that's it until Feb 8th. I just got a record high electric bill due to two separate brutal cold spells in the same billing cycle, but it's looking like the next bill will be a record low bill for Feb.

So glad I insulated the never-before-insulated attic a couple of years ago.

It wasn't exactly warm today at 45°, but it is January, so it actually kind of was. Took a 25 mile ride this afternoon. As a noob rider with knobbies, I've been given plenty of warnings of iminent danger in all kinds of conditions, but, to me, nothing trumps experience. Today it was wet roads and grit. Lots of grit from the winter road crews. Of course I found it on the windiest, hilliest roads I was on. I rode gingerly in those places and came out unscathed. A little caution and prudence goes a long way.

Went out to a nearby lake and also stopped at one of the swollen creeks nearby.

We're going to have to have a picture of the sun put on a milk carton because we haven't seen it here in nearly two weeks.

The 10 day forecast is full of sunshine. I can't wait. Its not gonna be a heat wave, but it's gonna be warmer than it should be.

Atmospheric river for the next week here. At least it's coming from Hawaii. Not supposed to snow.

The sun got brave and showed itself today. It made it to the low 50s. Buster dog was so happy that he ran out into the yard and found a spot in the sun to take a nap.

The atmospheric river got to AZ. We got an inch of rain and highs in the 50's.

Sunshine and mid 40's today. Spent the day outside soaking up the sun. It's been overcast for at least a couple weeks. More sunshine and high 40's tomorrow. A buddy and I are gonna go for a ride.
