Hello everyone ..Power I need you now!!!
I want to build lifan 150cc vertical motor in to as much power as possible . I wante to know how far i could go 250cc bore or 200cc .i thought only 200cc cause the case would not fit. I was going to 200cc and buy 200cc head and get it port matched ,polish and smooth ridges deck the head by .02 and 5 angle valve job. would a 250cc head fit and flow more? I was thinking of fuel injection but a nibbi carb would let me spend more on engine. So what do you think ? I was thinking of tryng to build a clone powroll 218 stroker do anyone know what those are i heard thats the engine to get. My bike is xr200 clone and I been swapping aluminium parts from a cr500 like swingarm and rear tunable showa shock with reservoir. I'm fitting those with setting the swingarm pitch at 5' and bike is 52" wheelbase . Im trying for the power to weight ratio of a 5-6000 dollar bike for a 1000. Im tossing things all around from turbo fuel injection to stroker . I'm building my dual sport in to a supermoto ,I already got 17 aluminium rim for the front and street tires and 44 tooth rear sprocket for a final ratio of 2.58 . the bike weighs 243 stock I'm cutting off rear pegs and as much heavy steel as possible. i have a friend who is custom metal fab guy who is making me aluminium parts ,to lighten it up. I would like to see how light I can go.I have noo wife, kids or real bills and three jobs . So I would like to do as good of a job as I can. Ok sorry I been trying to get in here for a while now . What do you guys think?

I think you're mildly insane, which means you'll fit in nicely around here.
Welcome!

demi I keep trying to reply to your PM but I get this every time
" demidestructo has chosen not to receive private messages or may not be allowed to receive private messages. Therefore you may not send your message to him/her. " To answer your question from the PM, it sounds to me like you are going to squeeze all the HP out of that motor you can . I can not think of anything else.

I had all types of problems getting on here but thanks to some great forum members, they helped me get on here . I am trying to get everything I can out of it . So how do I change the crank I told this to the powersports place that "might" build me the engine. they are trying to charge me 200 for big bore and 500 for splitting the case to put a bigger crank in I Guess .Im not dumb I wish I had a guide to follow. I want to spend the most money on high tech lightweight stuff. So now Im thinking 150cc port match smooth and polish exhuast side and on the intake side im going to create little dimples like a golf ball and polish smooth out ridges and make it like a mirror inside. then buy a high compression piston (what size???) or deck the head to raise compression. now what about rotating mass guys how about bearing in the wheels and in the motor to create liquidity in the engiiine and kinetic energy from the wheels ,how about a lighter chain? I switched to aluminium from steel wheels and got close to the lightest tires i could with low rolling resistance.

It will be cheaper for you to just swap a larger engine.

Those 25H-100L are very reasonably priced (Chinese brand ~$1.5 in it's motherland) / < $25 for the Japanese brand in states...

What year is the first XR200? Stay away from 1984. In fact, I'd jump right to 1986.

The xr200 motor is a 99 and I have a calmer for this engine! Ya ! Im thinking im going to buy the xr200 motor just get my motor (lifan) running it just needed a carb. I would love to build a copy of a powroll 218 stroker and keep my 150cc as a spare!ill just ride the 150cc around and get comfortable doing wheelie and stopped before I drop the xr200 engine in ( after as much power has been extracted as possible with this motor .If I get the bike down to 220 and get 24 hp, a lower rotating mass will will send me into power to weight of .109 which is huge!

Hey I wanted to say thank you to weldandgrind, spudrider, humanbeing, katoranger, and Louis angel for your help and welcoming me to the forum .I must say this is one of the nicest forums I have come across ,you should see what mychinamoto is like all america haters.I asked the same questions they sent me replies like "you are beyond help" and "read a book" I replied which ones? how about the one about your country sinking in to the earth because of all the horrible pollution and smog. It mst be fun to have to strap on a surgical mask to ride your bike or go outside and a couple years ago I went there.Within thre days I had a soar throat and my eyes were red and burning all the time I was on vacation for 10 days and I came back after 6. No thanks I did see probably where our bikes our made .I think I know why our bikes are smaller ,I dont think the little guys could push a cr500 or ktm 990 . Also has anyone seen ccw cycles ? they modified the CG for POWER! with new cams and stroked I was going to call and beg them to sell me a crank. Check them out they offer a really cool bike with a hopped up cg that you can work on for 3,000 and it will go on the highway! Its looks like a harley thats why I dont like it but they are MADE IN CLEVELAND. I should post them in dealers huh?

http://www.dansmc.com/camchain.htm
1st find the parts # of that '99 bike. From parts site http://www.partzilla.com/parts/searc...AIN/parts.html we know stock is a Daido (It's "D.I.D" for most folks). After copied that # to Google, we're sure the type - "Low tech" roller (not the "silence") 25H 25H http://www.kmcgroup.com.tw/toen/products2_4.htm from Taiwanese maker (Quality are OK, ~$15 in fleabay)
