Greetings from Tarentum, PA

Hey,

I'm a self-employed handyman and scrapper living about 15 miles NE of Pittsburgh, PA. As partial payment for work I did, I acquired several scrap items located in a field, including a 2006 Wildfire (GY200) dual-sport bike, along with a 70-something Rockford Tora juvenile dirt bike.

Instead of scrapping them, I intend to fix them both up as a "father/son" experience. So far, I've broken the motor on the Wildfire free, and stripped both bikes to the frame and taken off the rust (bikes sat outside for 4 years, I was told). I'll be posting my progress here, as well as picking the collective brain of you here for info.

Pictures to follow, soon.

Welcome!

You've hit on two of my activities: China bikes and scrap. I'm not the only one like that here, either.

Welcome to here! The Wildfire sounds right up our collective alley. Not familiar with the other bike.
