Front fairing/headlight

I've got a "Travelon" 150cc dual-sport. trying to help out the "look" of the bike.
Ordered a new front fender, universal, should look lots better.
My question, what have you guys done for the front fairing/headlight? That thing is ugly, I want to replace it with something different, any suggestions?
Any other chinese styles bolt on?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

I used an Acerbis DOT headlight/fairing in the past with great results.

Any pictures?
I also plan on adding a few performance parts to the bike (I got it for $10, so I figure if I dump $500 into it I'll still come out on top )
Unfortunately, its a 162FMJ, not very many performance parts available.
Anybody know where to get replacement plastics? I wouldnt mind having the farings that the previous owner removed

Motorcycle Superstore, Dennis Kirk, and Bike Bandit would be good places to look. Look for UFO, Maier, and Acerbis.

That front fender is awesome!!!

I bought a "Polisport Halo H4 Headlight"(a quick google search will show you what they look like), they are in the $60-$80 range but alot more compact and would probably look good on your bike.

$10? Wow, does it run? Man, I wish I could find deals like that!

Runs like a champ, had 250 miles on it. Didnt get ridden hardly ever, backed into it with the trailer and the rear fender shattered, owner got pissed and wanted it gone, so I took it off his hands

Welcome rusche!

I see that your bike has signal lights; do you plan to run it on the road? If so, beware that several of the China headlights aren't DOT.

Andrew, is your new light DOT? If so, that's a smokin' deal.

Welcome to these forums, Rusche; we are glad you joined us! You basically got your bike for free, so you can't get a better deal than that!

I think a standard, H4 headlight works quite well, especially for small motorcycles that don't reach high speeds. However, not all H4 headlights are created equal. Some H4 headlights are designed much better than others, and effectively put more light on the road ahead.

After doing much research, I decided to purchase a Baja Designs headlight for my XR650L. I mounted the headlight this afternoon, and took a test ride this evening. I am pleased to report this 55W/60W, H4 headlight does a very good job illuminating the road.

It was cloudy today, but I managed to take a ride before the rain arrived. Here is a photograph of my recently installed, Baja Designs headlight.

This headlight is rugged, and easy to install. Best of all, this headlight does a very good job illuminating the road ahead.
