I am watching alot of parts on ebay right now too.

Plan is to pick them up when they go cheap.

Ok. An update. Won a 125cc lifan last night. Just need to pick up a carb and intake for it and I should be able to run it.

I missed the exhaust the same seller had though.

Need a suggestion for a relatively quiet exhuast for this engine.

Current plan is to build both bikes. One will be a stocker and I think I will resell it to pay for the other bike.

Very cool indeed. 107.5 mpg and 70 mph wow impressive.
Wish I could afford another project.

I hoping for a 100mpg too. That would make the gy look like a gas guzzler.

ImEasy hooked me up with an exhaust an a carb intake. Got a new carb on ebay. Those items arrived today just in time for my septic tank to backup and I had to go work on that.

Still waiting on the engine to arrive. I think it should be here on Thursday.

My lifan 125 arrived this morning. Suffered a damaged stator cover and had oil everywhere. Contacted the ebay seller. Will see if he resolves. Everything else looks to fine.

I think he forgot to drain the oil first. It was everywhere. The septic wasn't that messy.

No response back yet from the seller. I am not too concerned as it is just the stator cover.

Maybe next week I will bolt it up to the frame with the carb and intake and test fire it.

I don't know if you have seen, but Hooper's site has a lot of restoration photo's mostly of mini-trail and ct70 honda's. I like this one best though, restored with a Lifan 200cc engine.

Okay. I did alittle more stripping on the donor frame. Remove the old engine and all the electrical. Getting ready to start sanding and doing rust removal.

I am planning to go ahead with the undercoating for the whole bike. It is going to be black with touches of stock chrome here and there.

The engine seller has not responded with any help yet. I bought another stator cover.

Going to have to file a paypal dispute and maybe he will refund me enough to cover the cost of the new cover. $20.

He wanted me to filed a UPS claim even though the packaging was poor and that is why it was damaged.

Anyway I hope to get the frame cleaned up and painted in next couple of weeks and then on to engine install.

A neighbor of mine did one of these, although it wasn't as detailed as the restoration you are working on.
Best of luck and hope it works out well.

Keep the pictures coming.

Mine is not going to look like the above C100. I plan to have a custom bike and not a show piece. It is going to look nice and be fun to ride. First goal is to get it running and riding then I will work out the lighting and other electrics. I have everything I need to make it ride except for a good seat and front brake cable I believe.

Just won't be street legal yet.

Fortunately he packed it in two boxes so the outside one didn't have any oil on it.

Haven't heard back from him yet.

I almost have the frame stripped and ready to start sanding and painting.
