PZ30 vs Mikuni! Comparison with pictures

Here is a Comparison of the Mikuni 30mm clone and a KeiHin P30 30mm carburetor.

ID measurements

The PZ30 measures 30.48mm inlet and 38.1 outlet

Mikuni measures 30.353mm inlet and 39.37 outlet

Now some side by side shots. Mikuni on left, PZ30 on right.

The mikuni has 4 bowl screws the PZ30 has 3

The idle screws are different

This Mikuni came with a lever choke, the pz30 was cable choke. They are interchangeable between brands.

The Mikuni came with a nice coating of clear oil inside to keep everything in good shape. All edges smooth

The PZ30 had a lot of rough castings spots and extra metal hanging off in places. I also found metal shavings in numerous places. I have already corrected all these problems before the pictures. Sorry.

i would suggest the mikuni for sure. easier to tune and jet
