CSC RX3 Cyclone 1300 Mile Shakedown Road Trip

A rider on another forum granted me permission to share his video with this group.

He also rides a Triumph Tiger 12 XC.

The video quality is very good. What camera did you use? Where did the trip begin, and end?

That is my Dachshund Peanut he used to ride with us on long trips on the BMW. He was getting ready to leave for Yosemite and was ready to go. He's a bit older now and prefers to stay home and watch animal planet while we ride.

The cameras I used are GoPro 3 black 1080p 60fps and GoPro 3+ silver 1080 p 60 fps. I use them also for the aerial videos I shoot with my RC planes, Quad copters, and Traxxis Summit gimbal rig.

We started In Houston Texas through Louisiana, Kisatchie National Forest, Lake Bistineau, through Southern Arkansas Lake Greeson, Albert Pike, Mena Arkansas, Talimena Scenic Drive, Eastern Oklahoma, Talihina Oklahoma then back tracked same direction but a different route to Houston. We wanted to put the RX3's through their paces and they did great.

Wow; that sounds like a fun trip.

If you have time, please do post a thread on your RC planes, Quad copters, and Traxxis Summit in our Off Topic/General Conversation Forum.

http://www.chinariders.net/forumdisplay.php?f=109

I would love to learn more about these RC vehicles, and the videos you shoot.

Thanks Spud
I have cut aerial video shoots down a bit since the recent shot down quad copter(s). These things are very expensive and I do not want to lose one. Some peoples reactions to them are a bit nutty at times. I had a guy walk up to me from a parking lot to the open field I was flying in a half a mile away to ask if I was spying on him. I said no, are you spying on me? As he holds his video phone pointed at me minding my own business. Some peoples hypocrisy know no bounds.

Videoing while riding my RX3 does not draw the same reactions from people.

I didn't hear about the shot down quad copters, but it doesn't surprise me. Indeed, many people are very strange.

It's understandable (which doesn't make it right), when you consider that some low-lives out there have used drones to capture video of people in apartment buildings. Creeps.

I agree but I don't believe my GoPro's wide field of view and lack of detail over 200 ft would be good for spying on people. At 200 ft you can't tell if what your shooting is a dog, person, or funny shaped bush. People look like ants at altitude. Not everyone with a Quad copter is a Creep. But if one is then they all must be.

Not all motorcycle riders are in motorcycle gangs. But hey we got to deal with uninformed people everywhere we go.
