In that case... I will recomend what I use on the XT660R..
on my 3rd set done 2 DB1ks on them... What ever you get don't use these 50/50 tyres with the small trial tyre type nobbs that get recommend quite often on this site.... They flex far to much while cornering on the road... You have to be able to put more than 14hp on the ground with a XR650... ===== > Shinko 700..... side nobbs/blocks have bridges to help stop the side nobbs flexing and they put alot of rubber on the road..  .
