The new kid in the forum

Hi,
I am new in this forum and hope I can contribute as well. I have a vento mountrack 2006 which is the same as songzhen sierra. I bought it about 3 months ago with more than 25 k miles and really love it since I have no problem so far. Here in Mexico is not common the vento mountrack only the Italika. I picked this bike since Yamaha, Honda and Kawas are very expensive (I payed 1k dlls). I will post some pics as soon as I can.

Cheers

Welcome; we are glad you joined us. I moved your post and started a new thread for you in this forum so more of us can greet you, and welcome you properly.

Indeed, my Zongshen 200GY-2 is the same as your Vento Mountrack, and it is an excellent little motorcycle. I have ridden my Zong over 61,000 miles (982,000 kilometers), and it is still running great! You can learn more about your Vento Mountrack by reading the threads in the Zong Sticky, which is located at the top of the Dual Sport Forum.

We eagerly await photographs of your bike! We love photos.

Welcome! Where in Mexico are you? I see a few Italikas of Mexican commuters where I live in Yuma, Arizona, near the border.

Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I live in Chihuahua, Mx and only ride the vento less than 1 mile a day (Mon-Fri). Ocasionaly, ride the vento 40 miles when commuting from the city to my office (my work is 20 miles commuting but we have a designated vehicle for commuting). I have been reading the threats about the yamazong (mainly posted by Spud) and have learned a lot. I was gonna post some pics but not have idea how to do it. I will figure out how to do it

Not sure but hopefully this is the link for my album. I will fix the gas tank cover and replace the small tool box by a pvc pipe big enough to hold the fix-a-flat can and some tools in case of emergency. If you can´t see the album, please let em know.

Saludos

Culcune I live in Chihuahua, Mx (about 4 hours from El Paso, Tx). I lived for 7 years in Las Cruces, NM while studying the master´s and doctorate studies. I bought the vento mainly for commuting 40 miles (round trip) when needed and obviously for saving money in gas when riding around the city. I am planning to modify the vento but I only can make it on weekends (the wife and kids are jealous of time I spend on it).

Yes, that worked.

That's a good looking motorcycle. I particularly like the saddle, and they way the fuel tank shroud was trimmed.

Now that you have a Photobucket account, you can easily post photos on these forums. Just copy the IMG code, and past the IMG code into your post.

That is a very nice bike. You can learn anything you wish about it in Spud's threads.
