instructions for changing front sprocket(hawk 250)

I searched but didn't find anything. Is there instructions or a video? All I see mention of is how easy it is but not how to do it

If your just changing your front sprocket, your going to need to:
-Be sure your bike is in neutral! You dont want the transmission taking the force of the wrench tightening and loosening the sprocket. You can put a screwdriver in one of the teeth of the rear sprocket to lock it in place.

-Loosen your rear wheel, and chain adjustments(Still leave them slightly tight until you get the old sprocket loose)
-Remove your shift lever
-Remove the sprocket cover, The bolts top and bottom of the cover where the chain disappears into the engine.
-Leave the chain over the sprocket and around the rear sprocket
-Remove the two bolts holding the old sprocket on, and remove the retaining clip.
-Loosen the rear wheel adjusters enough to remove the old sprocket, and slide the new sprocket with chain over the shaft.
-Get the chain tight enough to not skip on the sprocket
-Put the retaining clip back on, and reinsert the two bolts (With Blue Loctite!) to secure the sprocket in place.
- Many have had trouble getting the gear cover back on after installing the larger sprocket, mine gave me a little trouble, but a little wiggling and persuasion should get it to seat back into place. Make sure you dont pinch any wires coming out of the stator cover. I would use Blue loctite on those bolts as well.

Set your chain tension and tighten everything up! You should be good to go.

I could not get my cover back on with a 17t and the chain on so I had to take the chain off before putting the cover on and feed the chain through after.

Changed the sprocket and the chain. Hardest part was getting the master link on the chain.

I did have to wiggle the sprocket cover to get it past the chain but was really very easy.

I had the same issue with the cover, a light tap of a rubber mallet fixed it in a hurry
