My pleasure and thanks for the interest! This was about 8 years ago....just before I mothballed it. It's now stored in my shed, out of harms way.

Did the fuel pump problem begin after lifting the bars?

Getting ready for Marlinton

A few of us are gathering in Marlinton, WV, 24-27 Aug. Today I installed new mirrors and gave the bike a good overall check. Had to add a bit of coolant and tighten a couple clamps. It has been so hot here that I have not had the Zong on the road in at least 90 days. Now I get a chance to correct that oversight. The RX3 seems to be as anxious as I am.

Well, I will continue the story with the repair of my motorcycle. I replaced the defective bearing, a pair of it and two more, which I did not like in the engine casing. I replaced the oil pumps, as the metal shavings spoiled them, I cleared the cooling channels and assembled the engine.
I drove about 700 miles and heard a crash from the engine again.

I fell apart one more bearing. Only now is the bearing located in the head of the engine. The entire motor is again in the shavings. Probably, I will change all the bearings in the engine.

P.s. More and more obsessive thoughts visit me, about how to burn a motorcycle.
