relocation of ignition

My first post; I am adding a sidecar to a 2012 Genesis xm200gy-b and what to move the ignition, the black and red are connected together and the bike turns over and there is spark, what do I do with the black/ white and the green wire? It is going to be a keyless push button? Thanks Fenix

Welcome; we are glad you joined us. If you have time, please post photos of your bike; we love photos. Also, we would enjoy watching your project advance; please consider starting a new thread on this topic in our Pure Street Forum.

I suspect the black/white and green wires are designed to ground the CDI unit when the ignition switch is turned off. If so, you can insulate the ends of the wires, and tuck them away, since you want a keyless, push button ignition.

Yes, the battery should charge; I don't see why not.

What type of radio? Maybe just use a rechargeable UPS battery. I use these for power wheels. You could also add a solar panel charger.

Do you want a radio for communications, or a radio for listening to commercial stations? In either event, I would use a radio with a separate battery. I doubt the stock alternator will charge two large batteries.

Thanks for the tips, HB. I wondered if a high current CDI and reg/rec would be needed.
