Coolster 3150DX2 "jerking" and loose throttle?

Hey guys, still trying to figure out what's causing this new machine to "jerk" when going forward. If I go in reverse, it's smooth. Soon as I put it in forward and push the throttle, it jerks and bounces and I hear loud clacking noises. I thought it was the chain which was super tight so I adjusted it where it has some play and the issue is still there. Also, I'm not sure if this is related but when I press the throttle in (reversing it going forward), the engine revs but I have to press the throttle in far for the atv to actually move. And sometimes I hear a grinding sound and loud clanking sounds when it does start moving which is accompanied by the "jerking" of the machine. Any ideas on this?

It sounds like the centrifugal clutch needs adjusting. I don't know how to do that on those machines. Maybe someone here will chime in. There maybe a video on Youtube showing how to do it. I know some of the older Hondas use the centrifugal clutch set ups.

I'm not sure the coolster 3150dx2 has one of those. It's a full automatic. My taotao 125f1 has one and I recently adjusted it. I don't see anything like that on the coolster.

I wonder what it uses to couple/uncouple the transmission from the engine.

It's a CVT drive. Belt driven, but there is a final gear transmission. I don't know hw to adjust it either. It's the same engine as on Chinese scooters and those little Honda ruckus moped looking things. Search forums on them. Engine model 157qmj. Maybe u can find some info.

Have you tried checking the clutch to see if it had any thing broken? Maybe a spring loose or broke. But I don't think it has anything to do with the clutch as the clutch is always turning the same direction. If it does it in forward it should do the same in reverse. May be in the transmission it self. Its hard to diagnose with out it being in front of me. Take and post a video will help.

Hello....your gearbox shifter is not adjusted right... you can take off the link to he box from your gear shifter and you will see it can go more.. so it is in gear completey.. simple adjustment.. some one else had this problem acouple of post ago... but remove the link and see the main link will go into gear FULLY then... reinstall link when fully in gear... and then check reverse gear... DO NOT GEAR AND REV LIKE THIS.... HARD ON THE GEARBOX.... this is how people give the Chinese brand a bad name... since the buyer assembles it you are responsible to adjust stuff... the dealer if sold assembled is respossible.. thanks

You need to adjust the nut on your throttle cable for sure. Way too much play in the thumb throttle before the cable is opening the carb. Need an 8mm wrench and pliers. Or 2 8mm wrenches is better. Loosen the lock nut and twist the adjuster till you have only a little play in the throttle then tighten the lock nut against the adjuster. That will solve that minor issue. Not sure how to adjust the gear shifter box though.

Thanks for the replies fellas. I'm attaching some videos showing more issues which is probably the throttle and also some pics to see if you guys can pin point those thing you all mention such as gear box, links, throttle locknuts. I can't seem to find or locate these thing because I have no idea what you all are talking about.... "yes, this is the first time i'm messing with engines and carbs and stuff, sorry".

P.S. I have no idea why they made this thing the way it is. It's impossible to get to the carburetor on this or even that cable that's coming from the throttle which is behind that black bar which is the frame of the atv. On my TaoTao 125f1, everything is easily accessible so kudos to TaoTao and thumbs down to the Coolster.
