New Super Trike from Yamaha

Yamaha plans to produce a high performance titling trike. Sounds good, but they need to revisit the styling and appearance before it hits the showrooms.

That looks like a trike that you can still high-side or low-side on, so it wouldn't take the fun out of canyon carving.

The Yamaha trike could never keep up with your Ural in the mud, snow or sand, Cheesy. There is no place to mount a machine gun on the Yamaha, either.

Other way around on the pavement, though.

hard to hide that big ugly front end, huh? I looked at it wondering what the limits are to lean angle for hard sport riding and then my mind jumped to what value it would add. I can't see any value to it though. maybe to power slide through a curve?

The only value I see is intrinsic. It gives a person who could otherwise not ride a two-wheeler the ability to simulate the experience. With a conventional trike, a typical reverse trike or a sidecar rig, you're actually steering into corners. If I had balance issues and could no longer ride a two-wheeler, I'd consider something like this. That said, I'd rather have a sidecar rig.

The sheer weight of a mega engine motorcycle keeps me from wanting one. Older guys like me cannot pick up a Street Glide or Vaquero.
-I could probably handle a mega engined tilting trike.

Is yamaha thinking they are going to corner the baby boomer geriatric segment? Why do mfgs do such silly things (Honda x-adv) meanwhile still waiting for the lightweight 450 500 adv unicorn

It does remind me of the Honda DN-01.

The Quadro 4 is going to be the most stable tilting vehicle in the market. I’ve been talking to the manufacturer in Switzerland to see when they have plans to enter the US market. They report that is still a couple years out. This will be the bike that I hope to get in the future.

I want mine with nobblys & a bash plate...
But I see a issue.... to wide to run in a single wheel track
& to narrow to run in a double tracks left by other 4wd...

wonder how well it throttle steers...

It’s more of a streetbike rather than an atv. There are some videos of it going off-road. It’s only 2WD. The back wheels are both belt driven. The Quadro 4 is very stable in wet weather and during general road use. That’s why I want one.

EDIT: Sorry pete! I thought you were talking about the Quadro 4.
