50cc two-stroke pulling power vs car ??

Hi,

I'm feeling nostalgic... thinking of getting a brand new 50cc two-stroke from ValleyScooter to commute 5 miles each day.

Road speed limit is 35 mph.

Do Chinese 50cc two-strokes have the guts to at least keep up with cars during acceleration?

IMHO, the short answer is yes, particularly in a 35MPH zone. You can certainly change CVT parts to get it into the zone for your particular needs.

You know, I was thinking of the same thing today as far as a 50cc two-stroke goes. I have ridden my new-to-me 150cc TGB for nearly two weeks, and I absolutely love it over the TMEC. I was thinking that I would possibly look into a brand new 50cc TGB for around town riding, or possibly for my son who turns 16 in December?

I know the TGB bikes will easily top 45 mph all day so no worry in 35 zones, but not sure how the Chinese two-strokes do
