Mad Big Boy GPR200RR fuel issues

My bike is having issues when the revs go past 5000. It seems to start struggling with power, though it pulls well in the lower rev range. I checked the valve clearances and set them to 0.05 for the intake and 0.06 for the exhaust, but the intake manifold is still very wet with fuel after a short ride with no choke. It has improved slightly after setting the valves, as the intake valve was tight before adjustment.

The thing to note of is that it ran very well on a test run, but this morning on the commute it had hassles again. I get the feeling that the valve clearance is too small, causing the blowback from the engine during the compression stage.
The bike has probably done about 60k kilometers.

The question is is this? Can I increase the clearance on the intake to 0.06 and the exhaust to 0.08? I know that the ideal is rather too loose than too tight.

Thanks in advance
