Pitster Pro Classic 125 Pro

Here is my new Pitster Pro Classic 125 Pro. (Skyteam ST125-6B)
I purchased this bike from Provenpowersports. They shipped the bike within two days. It is factory fresh with a completion date of Jan 2016. I received the bike 3/19 and have been removing and loctiting every single screw, nut and bolt. Changed out the shipping oil. Taking my time with everything. I finally started it up yesterday for the first time and began running in the motor. I removed and cleaned the carb. The main jet had some crap in it. It starts right up now. I've upgraded the tires and drive chain. Put on some stiffer rear shocks. Took a hacksaw to that bulky air filter. Had to purchase a new front caliper as the original was sticking bigtime. I'd rather just pay myself than go through the migraines of warranty parts and long wait times. Ordered some one-piece aluminum rims. I will put the Pirellis on the new rims and put some trail knobbies on the two-piece rims. Also removed all the Pitster stickers and adding decals to make the bike look like a 1978 Mini Trail 70. Not sure I want to add the stripes.
My MCO arrived three days after the bike. Provenpowersports was great to deal with. Constant communication and very helpful. I can see where some people have troubles with these bikes as you really need some mechanical ability. I'm noticing a lot of the bad reviews are from people who did not service the bike correctly, or at all.
I am really glad I got the upgraded version of this bike. Plan to start some slow riding today. So far I am very pleased. It has been a lot of work but I love working with tools. Good thing.

That looks really good! Love the USD forks.

I love it too, like the retro mod approach. Go after that sky team logo next.

Thanks all and I will get a video made. Still having some minor carb issues. Pipes turning blue and needing a lot of choke tells me I'm running lean. Added an inline filter to keep the carb from clogging up again. Plan to replace the cheap gas lines. No idle set screw? The only adjustment I've found is idle/air mix. I've got some more chassis bolts to loctite. The kickstand bolts fell off yesterday. Luckily in the garage floor. Those darn two piece rims were an adventure to loctite. Be glad when the one piece rims arrive so I can toss the inner tubes.

It is interesting to know that these are new models. I was under the impression the Pitster Pro bikes were a few years old (so called 'new old stock'), so pleasantly surprised to see this was made in 1/16. It does seem to have a few more issues than others have described with their Skyteam bikes, however. I know the older bikes were California CARB legal, so wondering if these newer ones are?

Don't tease me like that! ;-) One of these would be cool but most of the websites I search offer very ew CARB street legal two wheelers. Just the SSR XF250 and the CSC TT250 currently.

Pitster's site claims their 'retro street' lineup is 50 states legal. Scroll down to the 5 bikes they show; all claim '50 state legal'...

That's amazing. I hope it's only a matter of time until folks like RPS and others do what it takes to sell here. It's a huge market. Problem is it's usually not worth the effort and cost if you can sell in 40 other states.
