Winter Is Here

Sorry, Doc.

I drove through this crap to northern Wisconsin, which had no snow, for a special mission. My Dads' 80th.

Dad and Mom. Working on 61 years together.

As an aside, Dad brought up the DeSoto and it is coming to my place next spring. He'd been approached by several people to sell it to them and he decided as it has been in the family since 1978, it should stay in the family.

Happy Birthday to your dad, he looks great!

A person can never have enough DeSotos, that's what I always say ;-)

That white %$#@ is for the birds. It's tough to live with the despair of winter.

We have had a week or two of below normal temps here. Not records and no white %$#@ but cold and sometimes foggy.

I did take Tammy out on the XR100's though this weekend, and got to ride the mountain bikes though.

The Northeast continues to enjoy a mild November but the rest of the country seems to be freezing.

3 months, 3 weeks, six days until Spring. For crying out loud we are still almost a month away from the START of winter!

My inlaws are that age and they don't lok near as good!
We have one coming in tonight. Supposed to be snow down to 1500 feet. We're at 3000 feet. Looks like I'll be getting Bessy (97 Chevy Z71) out of mothballs to get down the ridge. Mrs. 2LZ will need my Jeep to get to work. When it's like this, Mrs. 2LZ Challenger remains parked.

I don't know how to 'imbed' this but this is a link to a video posted by a guy I know on an airplane forum. He is landing on a dry lakebed of what I believe is New Hogan Resevoir.

Looks like the foothills need some precipitation.
