Like the clean install of the LED headlight, and the braided stainless belt as a heatsink seems like an interesting solution. I'd be curious of the mass of the belt vs. the aluminum, finned heat sink. Mass helps absorb heat for dissipation.

Looking forward to seeing the light output photos!

The other older styles don't have just a large finned heat sink. They contain a fan unit as well
