Watercooled zongshen is it worth it?
Looking at a czr250cc (crf250 clone i assume)
Just curious about the liquid cooled engines, ive seen a lot of them get around and seem quite powerful Question is ,are the zong 177 worth it for extra power? Im happy with my dinosaur 230cc she's running sweet Any common problems with the 177 engine? They are going dirtcheap here in aus, i think its worth a crack, Last edited by b44; 09-19-2016 at 07:33 PM. |

These engines have been proving themselves all over the world as evidenced by the positive bike reviews here on chinariders and on mychinamoto for the Zongshen RX adventure bike. As humanbeing mentioned--Gas Gas uses the engine in one of their bikes and the small Portugese manufacture AJP uses the engine as well.
I would go for it if I was you! What is considered 'dirtcheap' and could you beam me one to the US so as to save on shipping?

Coincidentally, someone from Australia just joined us with what seems like a similar bike (same engine).

Hi All,
I've started an information page for the variously named export versions of the Asiawing NC250, at: http://farqual.gooseyard.com/ssr250s/ I'd appreciate any useful information others have, particularly regarding parts compatibility and jetting. I've been really happy with mine; as a casual dirt rider I think the value is very strong. |
