Tao Tao ATA250-D rear sprocket

I picked up a slightly used 2007 Tao Tao ATA250-D sport-utility quad that is geared too high. Who really wants to go 50 mph on a little quad? I swapped out the OEM 15 tooth front sprocket with a 12 tooth (JTF 259.12) which made a huge difference but I'd like to lower it even more with a larger rear sprocket. Stock rear is 40 tooth so I'd like to find about a 45 tooth. Anyone know of a JT sprocket that will fit, or any source for a rear sprocket? Surely it's a copy of a common rear axle and flange but which model?

Can you remove the sprocket for measuring? We might be able to find one with accurate dimensions.

Center hole is 36mm. 6 bolt attachment on 56mm diameter circle. 428 chain size.

Wow, that's a tough one. I haven't seen a 6-bolt sprocket with an ID that small. I took the time to look at several bikes / atv's on the JT site, but I didn't find a single 428 like that.

Thanks for looking around Weldangrind. I've decided the stock rear sprocket is fine for now and new stock ones are available when it wears out.

I ordered a stock one to have on hand when the original wears out. Here are the measurements. Gearing is low enough with a 12 tooth front sprocket.

Ebay, $22.95 with free shipping. Also ordered a spare CDI from the same seller for $4.95 with free shipping. Thought the spare CDI I carry on the Zongshen 200 would work, same plugs, but the Zong uses a DC unit and the Quad uses AC.

It just arrived today and looks to be correct. It was ebay item number 270906634498 from seller atv_parts_outlet who has an ebay store named Kidsatvparts. Can't remember what I searched for exactly but it was something like Taotao 250 sprocket. It says more than 10 more are available.

Whygostock sells the different size front sprocket and they can custom make rear sprocket for you as well.

Front sprockets from 12 tooth on up are available from many sources, JTF259. Custom rears are always made of aluminum which doesn't hold up well. Does Whygostock make hardened steel ones?

13/40 is a good all round ratio for my use. 15/40 is stock.
