Which spare parts to get for Zongshen Sierra?

I am fairly new to this Forum.I have a Zongshen Sierra which has turned out to be a great little bike.
I purchased it new a few years back after reading all the posts on this forum.
Sorry to hear that the sierra is no longer sold around the U.S.
When I purchased mine, they seemed to be everywhere.
Well on to the reason for this post.
What stock parts (zongshen) do you sierra owners think I need to have a spare of?
Where can I purchase zongshen parts from?
I was thinking CDI, brake shoes, throttle/clutch cable?
Perhaps the great Spud can interject. It was because of your posts that sold
me on the zong.
Thanks everyone

Thanks for the kind words, and welcome to these forums, fellow Zongite!

You are wise to purchase these spare parts. You might also want to get the following items.

Odometer Cable
Clutch Levers
Plastic Side Covers
Foam Air Filters
Gasket Kit
et cetera...

You can get all of these items from the Taobao website in China. I have made several purchases of Zongshen parts using the Taobao agent, TaobaoTrends.

http://taobaotrends.com/

Register on TaobaoTrends, and you can place an order by following their directions. Basically, you copy and paste the URL (web address) of the part you wish to purchase into your 'shopping cart.'

You can find parts by using the autotranslate feature of the Google Chrome web browser while searching the Taobao website.

I use the following search terms.

ZS200GY-2
LZX200GY-2

For example, here are links to the following items.

Upper Side Covers

It's hard to follow that post with anything relevant. My guidance is for you to follow Spud's guidance.

Spud has given you all the information you'll need in getting new parts.
I would just add Stator to that list.

How it looks like, if you do decide to buy one check the best deal on Taobao.

so what is the price of this stuff?

i looked up that 1 USD = 6.0610 CNY (Chinese Yuan)

so does that mean 158 CNY for the side cover means 958 usd!?!? this has to be wrong!?

You were correct thinking your math was wrong.

158 CNY x 1 USD/6.0610 CNY = 26.07 USD

Google does it for you. Simply type the amount in CNY, followed by USD, CAD, whatever.
