I've owned two Vics and have serviced a number of them. They are an AWESOME bike. Though they are more maneuverable at low speeds compared to their general competition, they are not made to be super nimble in tight spaces like college sidewalks. They are best on the open road, like most giant cruisers.

I'm glad you got to represent the RX3 Ron B! Nice job!

Victory is an excellent bike. They out Harley in most every category.

The Indians are similar, but even more so in regards to classic style.

I especially like the Indian Scout. Too bad it's no available with a pillion seat. How could Indian not realize a motorcycle is best with a pretty girl on it?

I've had 3 HD's. Only one I've paid for, the others were 'donations/permenant loaners'.

I don't know why people buy from the Motor Company when there are Vics and Indians, and a million other choices out there.

Guess they need to have a bike that matches the tattoo and pirate suit wardrobe.

For an urban police motor, I think the RX3 is a clear choice on comparison, even if price was not the biggest factor.

This is a good analogy ! If it's the flash they are looking for, then victory is near.

Thank you for all the input it is very helpful.

Thank you Ron for being so gracious in showing your bike and allowing me to ride it. You represented the R3 well.

This bike is honestly at the top of my list for many of the reasons that you all mentioned. Particularly important is the cost vs maintenance. As one writer commented, police officers are exceptionally hard on their equipment.

However, as many of you mentioned, at around $4300 a unit, I can replace the bike three times for the cost of one Harley or Victory.

The evaluation continues and I will keep you all apprised of our decision.
