New member and owner of a Zong

Hi Fellow members,

Greetings from Malaysia. I just bought a RS3 (as its known here) and its been a month now and jyst hit the 1000 KM mark ( i only have time to ride on the weekends )

Minor problems that i noted are:

1. Difficulty finding neutral (even after changing to synthetic oil)
2. Inaccurate fuel gauge and speedo

But its something i can live with and am enjoying my iron steed

Here are some pics of the Zong

Hi All,

The mods i have done are:

1. Replaced the stock mirrors with sportier and shorter mirrors (cant remember the make)

2. added a phone/GPS holder

3. added a cup holder (havent actually used it yet)

4. added a parabolic mirror on the shield

5. added a LCD clock (glued under the parabolic mirror)

6. diy tube storage made from 3" PVC pipes that i use to store 1 liter bottles of gasoline

7. shielding of the front brake lines and accelerator cables with regular shower hose made of chrome plated stainless steel ( cant see it in the pics as its on the other side)

On my Bashan (different breed) I find it much easier to select neutral before coming to a complete stop.

Nice color! I have the same issues, hard to get neutral and the speed-o off by about 7-8 mph most the time.

Where to get that lower mounted rear fender?

This is the Special Edition (SE) model sold here that comes with extras like USB port and cigarette charger, rear fender and sport rims. I bought the SE model specifically for the tubeless sport rims because its easier to patch if i get a flat tyre.

To get to neutral, i too change it before coming to a complete stop, its near impossible to change once the bike has completely stopped.

The "burritto" tubes is DIY from 3" PVC tubes, an idea stolen from watching youtube. However we dont have tractor manual tubes here, that would have been a better and lighter option.

There is a built in clock in the dash but its too small and hard to see while riding.

Today i painted the inside of the skid plate red. The colour contrast looks good and it would be easier to spot any oil leaks.
