Hawk 250 successfully titled in Illinois

I originally purchased my hawk from txpowersports, which is where the receipt came from, but the certificate of origin said “scooters ATVs and more” or something like that, and the dmv denied it because the receipt and certificate of origin said different sellers on it. So I took it to a currency exchange and they didn’t ask any questions as usual. It cost a little more but who cares it’s done and I don’t have to fight with the seller.

Congrats! I went to one of the local Notary/Tag Shops and got mine registered. The little extra fee they charge is worth every penny just so you don't have to deal with the paper pushers at the DMV.

I’m in Illinois and would have purchased the hawk but was worried about the title and registration so I ended up getting a Bashan, went to the currency exchange and all done. Illinois is soooo expensive.

I checked with someone I know that works at the DMV before buying, she said as long as I have a bill of sale and mso I’ll be good to go. The bike came with the bill of sale and mso (certificate of origin), however I brought the receipt in too just in case, and I wish I wouldn’t have, because then there wouldn’t have been any discrepancies.
