Hi everyone, nice to meet you, rescued a little scoot!

Hi all, I just found/joined this forum and thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Maciek, I am originally from Poland, a citizen as of 2k, I work in software here in Seattle.

This summer I rescued this little scooter from rotting on my friends back porch. It's a '01 TNG (Twist n' Go) Venice (CS50QT-9). Only 26 odd miles on the clock (not even broken in) and some scratches and broken plastics, his gf won it and promptly laid it down, she was happy to get rid of it for a steal.

Anyway, I cleaned out the fuel and lubrication systems and gave the bike a once over, a new battery, and she fired right up .

I am fixing it up now for a friend of mine, I did find a source for replacement parts here locally at the Cycle Barn in Lynnwood.

I have not gotten around to de-restricting the variator yet, and she is lighter than I, but I will likely also need buy some performance parts, at least an expansion pipe and some jets, to tune it up a bit for her to make it up the hills around here.

Can anyone tell me what engine and carb these use and where to find parts if there are any available?

I know it is a chineese yamaha vino copy, and TNG is a local importer, and I've seen many chineese scoots with the xx50QT-xx in the model name. I know the newer models use a horizontal minarelli engine, but the engine in this one is vertical; carb up front, jug points up with plug access through the bottom of the seat bin, exhaust port at the rear...

I have looked at older yamaha and all kinds of other pipes, and none look look like they would fit, all seem to reach around to the front/bottom of the engine.

Sorry, I took these pics to show damage not parts, I will take better pics of carb, engine, and pipe tommorrow.

Thanks All!

Oh yeah, I'm an India-rider too!
