Lifan LF250 Lost Spark

Hello. I recently acquired a lf250 in rough shape. Been sitting in the rain a while.

I cleaned the tank and carburetor and it fired right up.

I rode it around a few times and when i went to start it one day it just backfires real loud once. After a few minutes of cranking it fired up and ran fine. This same thing occurs each time I go to start it. It only sparks once when the key is turned on or kill switch to on position.

Now it will not spark more than once when turned on.

I have gone through all the connections, grounds, ohm'd pickup coil. Coils check out. As well as safety switches.

The only thing left is the tci which I dont think would fail like this.

Any Ideas? I would like to get back on my hog.

Virago clone?
Gap btw pickup & rotor ?

Yes. Its a Virago clone. I haven't checked the gap.

Are the pickups known to rattle loose?

When testing for spark the first few times it lost it I would crank the bike a few seconds then it would start sparking.
