I just can't help myself...
If theres a bike in the shed i just have to play with it...

Ordered a set of USD forks & a internal rotor ignition unit
for Calebs bike...
I like this bike... parts are just so dam cheap.... even a
alloy frame is worth almost nothing...
Still need a rear shock.... might see if I can mod the mounts
to take a jap shock... as yer just don't know if these so called
trick pit bike shocks are any good....
It must be hard for him to ride as its just riding on springs no damping
in either end...

I'm sure that Caleb is made of rubber, like most fearless boys his age.

Looking forward to the USD fork install.

the forks arrived...
How much oil do the pit bike usd forks take ?... anyone have a idea...
damping a bit fast on the return stroke..
like to put a thicker oil in...
also have a internal rotor ignition unit to go in..

I got the chain de-railing sorted... nylon guide discs each side
of the rear sprocket... not tossed the chain since I put them on...

Doh!

well I just cut the frame into a couple of bits...
going to lengthen the wheel base 75mm...
Also thinking of cutting it just above the main engine mount
to lower the motor & get the foot pegs 50mm lower aswell
as put the swing arm on less angle...
Basicly make the whole bike a bit bigger...

pete.

You're re-engineering the whole bike!

way out in front of the tank... look really silly..

all back togeather... and the wheels are now in line...
should be a lot better to ride... they were almost half a tire
out of alinement.. front was 35/40mm to the left of the rear..

Lifan motors are good... the rest of the bike is PURE crap...
How the little shits can sleep at night putting crap like
this on the market I will never know..

I agree, but the low quality is reflected in the price. There's no way you could get close to that price for a new Honda.

As you say, the motors are good, and guys like us fix everything else.

Got pics?

I used Motul in an old XR250, and it shifted well after that. The problem with it is the cost.

Nice! He practiced on a China bike, and he'll be better equipped for a Kawi 140. Please let us know if you pull the trigger on it.
