They hand build their frames and pay full price for the pit bikes that they rob parts off of to build the bikes. The only reason they don't have to be reg'd is because they kept a working crankset and pedals.

We've been talking and keeping an eye on these for quite some time now, but CCW, and Puzey from South Africa, offer better options I think (sans the "survival" bull.... stuff):

The area where those 2 differ from the Motoped, at least in regards to most states in the U.S., is that the Motoped can be used on public roads. Since it has retained the pedal arrangement, and the displacement of the engine is 49cc or less, it is considered an assisted bicycle and means that you do not need any special license/endorsement or registration to use it on public roads.

The bikes in your links are considered motorcycles/scooters by U.S. law, and since they lack any form of lighting or signals while also having engines over 100cc, means they would not be legal for road use and would require a motorcycle license, or at least a scooter endorsement depending on the State. The ONLY exception to that is the CCW FXr - it has lights and a rear fender, making it possible to register for road use in some states.

In my area, we call that a "DUI Guy Bike".

I think it's cool. Kinda like the first Harley but modern.

I think it should be clear that Killermotorsports is just selling one of 3 versions of this bike made by the original manufacturer.

Liquor sickle is what we call small scooters and motorized bicycles. if you see one without a license plate, it's because the driver/rider has been hit with a DUI/DWI ticket and lost their license.
