Big bend March 2018

Spent 4 nights out at big bend with the 2 wheeled Texans crew. Over 2 days did about 80 miles of the tough stuff trans Chihuahuan Desert. Dropped the mighty v strom about 8 times 😣but still runs straight and true. Cosmetic damage only and repairs in progress (right blinker lost in the desert ) Mainly will have to remove and hammer out the alum bash plate. The sweep rider said I sounded like a Chinese band with all the rocks hitting the undercarriage not the best bike to take through these tough 4x4 tracks but would not trade the experience. This was bucket list stuff (spent some cash too to do it).

Old ore road, and old river road

This sand like volcano ash conglomerate and heavy gravel beds pulled my 500lb vstrom 650 down many times. ...major challenge overcome!
