Email today saying they didn't have the black color I ordered so I switched to tree camo. No problem, I'm easy.

Here is the email from Upzy from 3/8/17:

Hi,

Thanks for ordering from us! Unfortunately, the Rhino 250 ATV in BLACK is on backorder right now. We're really sorry. However, we do have Rhino 250 in TREE CAMO and is available to ship immediately. Again, we sincerely apologize for that.
Here's the link:

Would you consider switching to this option?
Kindly let me know what you decide. Hope you're having a great week so far

Cheers,
Wendy

It has now been 6 business days since the original order and no word of shipment even though the email from them said they would ship the camo one immediately. Emailed them this morning and will try to call them later today.

Called their 800 number this morning at 8:45 and talked to a lady who said she had no information but would make an inquiry with the shipping department and get back to me.

This is order #5404 placed at about 6:00 am on 3/7/17.

Paypal deducted the full purchase price from my bank account on 3/8/17

That's never a good feeling. You would think they would given you some kind of information on delivery within a couple of days of the order. Hope it all goes well.

Just got this email from Upzy.

Apologies for the delayed response. Your TaoTao Rhino 250 ATV for order #5404 should have shipped already directly from a TaoTao warehouse. Our TaoTao rep has been out of the office the past few days and we've been unable to get the tracking information from them yet. We do apologize for this. Our rep is back in the office today and we've already contacted them to get the tracking information for your order. We will update you one we have it so please look out for the tracking information in your email. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I'm not in a hurry to get this thing delivered, an extra week or two doesn't matter to me. What does matter is that the company keep me updated when shipping and delivery time do not match claims made on the website. When that happens one has to wonder if the seller has dropped the ball and the order has fallen through the cracks.

Got the tracking info and the unit is here in my town already but the trucking company was unable to contact me because they weren't given my phone number. It'll be delivered tomorrow.

So far the only problem with the Upzy order is lack of timely communication.

I agree and I wasn't in a mad rush either when I ordered my Rhino from SPS. She told me up front on the phone that it may be 2-3 weeks because of the Christmas rush. She said they were super busy. I'd rather hear that than wonder what the hell's going on. I told her that was fine and thanks for the heads-up.
I was surprised to see it actually arrived in about 2 weeks but since our phone conversation, I was expecting longer so that's a bonus!

Tree camo!? That was my first choice but they were out of it. I opted for green camo and it ended up looking better than I thought it was going to.

Good price you landed!

Quad was scheduled for delivery today but the driver dropped it off last evening. One small hole in the cardboard but nothing appears to be damaged. I'll assemble it today.

My 10 year old quad is green camo which blends in pretty well with the northwest forest. Got to mark it's location when I get off and explore on foot so I can find it again. The tree camo has oak leaves and such so it would probably blend in better with the oak trees in the Sierra foot hills. Bright orange would probably be the smartest color.

I hear that. My buddy bought me a camo beer cozy. I lose that sob all the time.

Conclusion:

Ordering from Upzy online was easy and straightforward. Price was the lowest I could find. Shipping was fast. Satisfied customer. I would order from them again.

The only minor glitch was a lack of shipping notification.

Good to know. Let us know how you like the Rhino and post some pics please! I know you'll put it through far more than mine will ever see cruising around my property hauling a cart.

The other day I ran the quad with the rear jacked up and wheels turning and found the rims were not straight. Left rear is way out and the right not much better. The axle and hubs run true. I emailed Upzy and Joe got right back to me. Asked me to send a video that he could forward to Taotao for warranty which I did.

Customer service has been good. Thanks Joe.

Haven't had a chance to ride the Rhino much but compared to the 2007 ATA250D they have made some improvements. Better swing arm design, front A arms, ball joints, throttle assembly, frame welds and paint. Better chain and sprockets (though still geared way to high IMO), larger wheels, redesigned axle.

I'll be installing the 428 chain and sprockets next week along with the Hobbs meter and twist grip throttle. Found it rides much better with 3 psi in the tires but rear shock is way to stiff, and I'm no lightweight.
