Bought new tires for the pop up a couple weeks ago. Yesterday I tried to break the old tires off the rims. HAHAHAHAHAHA. I ain't 35 anymore.

Took both the old and new tires to Farm and Fleet and paid them to do it. $27. I was told that they were busy and it would be 24 to 36 hours. I no sooner got home and put my feet up when I got a call that they were ready.

Got to put some mile on the Jeep.

Two more track days. Going to Roebling again to make up for road Atlanta having to get rescheduled to days I couldn’t go

I bought a new hammer .I had a Stilletto titanium framing hammer that I hated since the first time I used it ,they have a “ring”to them which bugged me to no end ,my ears have issues and the thing really was annoying .I have been working on a condo ,and someone “borrowed “ my noisy $350.00 hammer ,and I couldn’t be happier about it .Popped into Homo Depot and they have almost nothing on the shelf ,so I picked up a temporary Milwaukee hammer until I find myself a real replacement .Did I mention I am happy the other hammer is gone to bother someone else ? I don’t even wish them to burn in hell ,the noise of the hammer is going to prolong their misery until the end of time .

Ha! I had a horrible pair of company provided safety shoes years ago that our pup chewed up. She thought she was dead when I caught her but all I could do was pat her head and say, "Good doggy'.

Taillight and reverse light lenses for the MGB
Mirrors and steering wheel hub for the MGB
Waiting to hear back both from HD about the repo on my bike and a seller of a factory steering wheel for the MGB.

The bike situation itself is a combination of unfortunate events. Namely Covid completely screwing income and with my health declining to the point i do not feel safe riding it anymore it is probably for the best.

Well, we bought a project 1984 Corvette… 1700$… pretty sure the security system isn’t letting it start.

Edit: so, first thing I found was, the PO had installed new starter after he couldn’t start it. But, he hooked the solenoid wire to the wrong terminal and either, created the problem or compounded the problem. I switched the wire to the right terminal and it fired right up. Runs great. Got to fix the dash, leaking seals around the windows, needs an oil change, power steering seems weak. New front tires and an alignment too might be good. That’s about it! Kinda dirty inside but the outside cleaned up well.

84.... Is that a crossfire?
I liked my C4 but getting in and out of it was a true bitch. It's the reason I sold it. That door sill/wall they put there was like trying to climb sideways out of a bathtub.

Yes it is a crossfire! And yes, it’s like getting into a bathtub lol! My son is 29 tho and, he’s young. Should be a few years before he’s stove up like us….

I have seen some very powerful crossfire builds. Bigger throttle bodies, cam, heads, headers, etc.

Yet another set of Yamaha XS11 fork seals.

I've rebuilt a ton of forks over the decades and have never had this much trouble. Yes...I'm losing my game,....but come to find out, there are a few "slightly different" fork seals between 1979 thru 1981, between the XS11 and XS11 Special, though that's not how the sellers list them. They post a seal and say "1979-1981 Yamaha XS1100" blanketing the entire line of bikes.

Live and learn..... The one drawback to internet shopping. I should have known to look up the original pt# but got lazy.

I feel your pain. Used to own a 2002 Triumph Daytona 955i, the only year when it had a double sided swingarm. Even going into a parts shop with a printed diagram with the right dimensions they STILL managed to order the SSSA sprocket TWICE because according to their database that is the correct sprocket for the bike. Needless to say I no longer utilize the services of said parts shop.

That was one of the biggest reasons I don’t generally want to deal with Junkaha ! Back then ,they might have 3 completely different ignition systems in a single season on a yz,and you couldn’t get the parts for the first or second generation so your bike sat sometimes for a year .I called it the “trick of the week “ ,I hated having to tell a customer I can’t fix your brand new bike because I couldn’t purchase the parts .Yes they have made some good sh1t ,but that doesn’t help the people who bought the one that was quickly superceeded and no longer available .Mercury outboards are the exact same ,always changing things then you can’t get parts you need .

Well look at this!
I ordered seals from two different vendors yesterday. They both arrived today. Both brands were Bikemaster again. Then I saw they had different part#'s!

Check out the dimensions. No wonder I couldn't get the first ones to go in without a press. Sheesh.....and B OTH of these are listed for a 1980 Yamaha XS11 Special.

A lot of train tickets while I was in Boston. Instead of renting a car for $2K per week, we rode the rails. A weekly pass for local transit took us all over Bean Town.
- Amtrak took us on a day trip to Portland, ME for lobster and a lighthouse tour.
-Local surface rail took us on a day trip to Salem for Witch Trial museums and more great seafood.
-Wait times for trains were very short and we enjoyed the walking.
