In Human's post- (& can guess from engine model 196 163FML | 229 167FMM (often in alternator cover's bottom)

Look for those two engine codes (163 FML or 167 FMM) stamped in the cover or engine case somewhere. Its a ZONG so I'm sure its stamped in there. That will tell you what the displacement is.

If that doesn't show up ,google Gio beast .
The unit there is not the same. Shown is a teen on the machine and his knees up to his chest. The unit I have fits me. I'm 47, 5'10" narrow build, but my knees are level while sitting on the quad. Wheel lugs are back threaded so bolts, not nuts. Tires are very small, front clearance is over a foot in the middle, read skid guard is inches off the ground. The body is easily explained by a manufacturing year difference, the size is not.
The quad I have is a full size quad just two wheel drive. I have had in the past a Honda trike and a Big Bear more recently last 20 years.

Regards,
Dak

I have owned a few Gio beast 200 quads ,they also made a smaller beast but I cannot remember the size ,it might be 110 cc . I am a little feller ,only 6'5" ,245 lb ,and I found the beast too small for me ,but I could ride it ,kind of like an old 185 Honda trike .If yours is not a beast ,I would be very surprised as it looks just like one .I guess we should ask ,do you live in Canada ?as far as I know ,that is the only place you can buy a Gio ,so if you don't live here you probably have something else .

Might be a few better pictures here for you to compare .I just looked at your pictures again ,and I am pretty darn certain you have a beast .Gio did change their bikes a little from time to time so some features might be a little different .

Good attitude!

As Humanbeing and Letsride indicated, there is a stamped number on the side of the motor near the gearshift that we can interpret as displacement. Gotta get down low to see it.

The displacement is most likely to be 200, but it could also be 230. Both engines use the same electrical system and carb. As FLBoy said, a 30mm Mikuni will do the trick, and you can have one shipped to your door for around $50.00 CAD.

In the meantime, check out the Gio Beast 200 sticky here: http://www.chinariders.net/showthread.php?t=8436

If you can find the numbers stamped on the crankcase this chart will help you decipher them.

So, we're still hanging around -27, working on a quad is not high on the list.

Adult machine just means you're not choking on your knee and that's two completely different types of quad.

The chart is fantastic! Thank you very much... All of you rawk!

Yeah, you're showing a gorgeous bike. lol. Mine will be, at best, a Frankenstein experiment. I will keep the board updated.

Regards,
Dak

You are probably better off not working on it at those temps. Plastic gets real brittle when that cold. Wires sometimes will snap too.

(Images too large, and of no import, removing them)

I may be on my own with this one... Stuck the phone under the cover a minute to get some engine snaps...

Left at full rez for now in case someone thinks they can find something.

Regards,
Dak

Keep going down on the left side until you find the oil screen cover. It's got a hex head on it. To the left or right you will find the info listed in the chart to determine engine size.

Great job, Darth. As a side note, when cleaning the screen behind the cover, be aware the cover flange is very thin. It's very easily damaged if put back on too tight.
