Royal Enfield

Here is a photo from the Royal Enfield dealer in Salem, Oregon, I flew up there last month to take delivery of my GT but was told it is still on the boat. I'll be back up there in late March for delivery.

I love the olive drab. Other than the front disc brake and polished engine cover, it could pass for a military bike.

Lovely bike.

If you like give me a heads up before you go to Salem. I have a friend there I visit and maybe we could meet for lunch. I like to fly or ride there, and late March should be nice weather.

I sometimes feel like I need a Continental GT.

Doc,
Last July while on a motorcycle trip with my amigos I stumbled on the deal of all deals on a small home in Sisters and bought it on the spot. My plans now are to spend the summers there and head back down here for the winters. The house is less than two miles from the Sisters airport, that said, some of the best roads on the planet are between your house and mine. You have an open invitation to come on down and ride the GT. I'd been looking for a place in the northwest to park my motorcycles and shoot my guns, Sisters in perfect.

I very gratefully accept your offer. I ride down to Bend every now and then also, and fly there and Sunriver. Very very beutiful country. Also some of the best dualsport riding in the country. I'm excited to visit you, will send you a PM.

BTW I'll trade you rides on my Ducati :-)

Thanks again,

Bill

I did buy a TW200 in Sublimity, not really a dual sport but I've explored some dirt roads around Sisters, I've got a route planned from Sisters to Jarbidge, Nevada, dirt roads all the way, will do that this spring on the TW. Attached is a photo of a restored '67 Allstate 250, it belongs to an amigo of mine.

I'd love to bring my TW to join you some time; Oregon is one of my favourite places.

That looks like a Cyclerack on the back. Good choice.

Congratulations on acquiring the TW200; they are great little motorcycles.

Thanks Spud. Weld, yes, a Cycleracks rack, I'm also having sidetracks built with a Rotopax mount, you are welcome at my place if you decide to ride Oregon this year.

I really like the Cycleracks product, but I found a large rack for cheap from Taobao. I haven't installed it yet.

Thanks for the invite.
