TAG..not it
Well I finally got the MSO from killer Motorsports after they guaranteed it was sent Wednesday it was actually sent Friday. Picked it up at lunch in my work truck then I went to the courthouse and Bam! No tags , the tag on the motor said for dirt use not dirt and road use. 300 pound of scrap iron sitting in the driveway. Already did all the mods the sprockets oil change the oil new plugs the carburetor. Somebody give me $1,000 and haul this thing off only has 36 kilometers on it.

Dude that sucks! Can you try another location to get your tags? Maybe try the Vermont trick?

I must have missed that part... but from what I read, the "minimum amount they will tax is 500$" (or 30$ at the 6% tax fee) so if you bought the bike for $1,300 you should get charged 6% (or whatever the current state tax is), plus any motorcycle registration fees... or did I read everything wrong ?

I don't know , I'm so disgusted right now I didn't read it all. I think I see a rx3 and my future. Somebody need a real good deal on a hawk. It would still be an out of state bike so I have to get it inspected and then look at the sticker again

Might as well take a nice deep breath, count to ? and call up the Vermont number to find out...
This format reads easier, they explain it will only cost 6% of your Bill of Sale + a 44$ Motorcycle Registration fee (?might have to pay extra shipping out of state?) to get it plated for a year (don't know about the title fee as the motorcycle is within 15 years old) http://www.chinonthetank.com/2014/04...-registration/

Wow.... that really sucks, especially after all the wait time. Holy cow....what next? RX3 is a nice ride!....but it would be nice to know if the Storm was legal there if it fits your needs and it's less $$$. Heck, the TT is more expensive but if it's legal here in CA, it MUST be legal there!

Just read through the whole Vermont thing. Everything I seen was talking about bikes 15 years or older. Then when I tried to transfer it then they would still come out and look at the sticker

Anything under 300cc new or old they will register they don't do titles from what I have read. These bikes can be tricky I have bought two used dual sport bikes my hawk is the first one I got tags for. And that totally sucks go through all the crap with km and your state bones you.
