Another one in Phoenix

I wish I could find people to ride with as easily as I seem to find bikes for sale...

If at first you don't succeed, try doing it the way I told you to...

Looks like a decent deal. Have you tried joining a group or club? Maybe use "Meetup".

The issue is that my schedule tends to be all over the place, and I can usually only break away to ride for a few hours in the middle of the day. Having a 16-month old stomping around the house really puts the brakes on overnight moto-camping. Who knew? I wouldn't want to be that guy in a group that randomly calls up people he doesn't know very well to see if they want to play hooky and go for a short ride. I really do miss the people I knew back in GA that were around to ride all the time. They were mostly around because they worked for me, and I got to set the schedule, but let's not split hairs...

My schedule is uncommon as well. I my rest days are Thursday and Friday so it can be challenging finding a riding partner. We just got to keep at it.

I haven't ruled out moving back to AZ yet. My issues that I can forsee would be less money = less chance to get a bike, as well as living in Yuma away from you guys. If I had the position I left, it would be a state job with no breaks like I get now ( weeks off) so would be relying on state/federal holidays and making my own vacation schedule.

There are tons of job openings here in Phoenix right now. I know that you want to stay in your current line of work, have you had a chance to look into what there is here in Phoenix?

I can go anywhere in the state if I go back to the Dept. of Corrections. The closest complex is between Buckeye and Gila Bend or in Goodyear, but that is the women's complex...the thought of working with women sounds great, but the reality is it is no fun. I have a home in Yuma, and my wife is apparently inseparable from there which is not my concern, but more so my kids who seem to be a package deal with the wife. I have a few friends in Phoenix, plus riders from here which would be a huge plus. My 19 year old son is contemplating becoming a Maricopa County jailer since they hire at 18, and then becoming a deputy when he comes of age, and would be in Buckeye, which does tip the scale in that direction since prison is a few miles south of there, so we will see. The pay in education in AZ plays a big part; I can commute easily to California from Yuma...not so easy from the Phoenix area.

I'm in Tucson, have a Panda Trail Rider (ct70 clone),
now I also have a BD125-11 (venom x22 bought Saturday)
More than willing to participate in a group ride/motocamp/M4T meetup, Whatever.
I ride up to phoenix pretty often...
(Takes 5hrs on the Panda haven't done it on the 125 yet)
Delivery guy, so I tend to have a decent bit of free time.
So if you get the calling hit me up!
Jay
