Ron, if your speaking to me about zong 450? Search April csc blog quote

Oh, and one more thing. There’s been a lot of buzz on the Internet about the rumored Zongshen 450 single. Guys, that bike is not going to happen any time soon. My guess is 2018 at the earliest, and that’s if everything goes smoothly. I’ve ridden the prototype 450, and there’s still a lot of work left to do in finishing it. We’ll bring the 450 to you when it becomes available, but I’m here to tell you this: Ignore all the idle speculation and predictions on the forums. It’s going to be at least a couple of years before the 450 is available.

This is fine, I am inexperienced rider and have no business mixing it up in the big city with a big boy bike...yet.

Thanks for the comments! Ryan shot me an email this morning letting me know my shipping date will be no later than early next week. . . . I have a feeling once it's on the road it will be a long damn slow wait for 'ol Doug! But I'm confident after all of my reading and questions that I've made the correct choice for me and my family.

By the way guys - just finished Joe's Moto Columbia the other night. GREAT READ So if you enjoy reading, in particular about riding and adventures, please read both books if you havent already. Great entertainment and the mental adventure Joe takes you on is fabulous. Pardon my stealing a line from one of my favorite John Wayne movies ... But Joe's books will make you want to "Ride Boldly Ride . . . to El Dorado"

I reviewed both books at Amazon and in my 5@8 review I gave a warning to prospective readers that reading Joe's books might very well result in the ponying up of 4 grand on a RX3 slice of heaven. So you are forewarned!

Happy 4 U !
Thanks BB .... I wish you the best on the endorsement - dont give up! Im betting that Bashan will give you miles and miles on top of hours of smiles! ... I too am going to watch the evolution of the next Zonshen bike CSC brings us. I think the whole CSC/Zongshen story has just begun.

I had this exact feeling back in 1998/1999 when I almost bought my first Victory. I'd been following the company and read the book. My HD buddies were giving me grief (like we get for riding CB's) but I stuck to my beliefs and ended up finally buying in 2001, a brand new 2002 TC. The rest of the Victory story is history.

Like you, I feel the same way with CSC/Zong now and I'm very excited to get the TT250. I hope all of our TT250's flooding CSC doesn't hold up your order! ;-)

From wiki

Polaris, a Minnesota company with annual sales in 2012 of $3.2 billion, was one of the earliest manufacturers of snowmobiles. Polaris also manufactures ATVs, side-by-side off-road vehicles, electric vehicles and, until 2004, personal watercraft. Seeking to diversify its product line, and observing the sales enjoyed by Harley-Davidson and similar manufacturers, the company decided to produce a large motorcycle built entirely in the United States.[2]

Victory vehicles follow the traditional American style of a heavier motorcycle that increasingly became associated with the Harley-Davidson brand in economically advanced nations after the Second World War, rather than more modern racing-inspired designs.

In 2010 Polaris engaged in a major expansion of production and marketing of the motorcycle. In 2011 Polaris bought the Indian motorcycle brand.[3

I Remember when victory Mc came out and I just said wow, would be nice to have something like that some day. A decade and a half later... I finally said , time running out, LEARN TO RIDE!

Thanx 2LZ .. copy of my email from Ryan this morning :

[I]Good morning, Doug.

................. Your RX3 should ship early next week at the latest. There was a rush of RX3 sales on top of the TTs arriving, so it got a bit crazy!

Thank you,
Ryan [
/I]

Bit crazy is a good thing! ! I think it's great that sales are up to the point that Joe made special mention in the blog that CSC is adding people to keep up. I for one hope for great things ahead for CSC and Zongshen.

I've owned 3 HDs and they very very fine bikes one and all. I never owned a Victory but did get the opportunity to ride one a few times and it was a damned pleasurable ride every time. Bikes, I thought, rode smooth and ran strong. So congrats on your Victory ... don't let it get away!

I've owned (and wrenched on) multiple HD's myself....and my favorite was my old 1974 Ironhead 1000 Sporty. It was a NASTY bike. I put in pop-ups, ported it, Mikuni carb and Andrews Y Grind cams. It was kick-start only (a knee breaker) and was right side shift, left side brake. I'd leave the key in it. I always said, "If someone can start it, then shift it, they deserve it." It only had a four speed and would pick up the front end in second gear at 40 mph. Sounded nasty too. Front tire would bounce in the pavement like a basketball at a stop light because of the cams. Lots of fun!
I know we as HD enthusiasts take a lot of flack, especially from crotch rocket and Beemer guys...but "if we have to explain it, you won't understand." ;-) This is why I took a lot of grief for buying my first Vic in 2001. I canceled my FLH order for it. Unfortunately, I just sold my 02TC a couple months ago. :-( I've had some health issues last year and I just couldn't see me doing any long rides for a while. She went to a very good home. Another Vic brother. At least I still have Mrs. 2LZ KP when I need to get my Yah Yah's out!

I got my RoadRunner tracking number today ....very pleased to say the least. Weather here today in east central Hellinois was rainy and in the upper 40s so that crap makes the waiting a bit easier., Now a safe journey here and I'll be even happier.

Mine came in a day early from RoadRunner. No warning whatsoever. Luckily I was home. Real nice driver, had a pallet jack and wheeled it right where I wanted it in the driveway. Box was perfect, and the bike looked great. Very professional job all the way around.
