Hehe...when I was a kid, I always had a jones for lawn tractors! ('course we didn't have ATVs then....)

Now, 40 years later, I always enjoy mowing the lawn with my li'l Craftsman...and I always think back to when i was a kid in the 70's...dreaming of having a lawn tractor!
I hear that, Heck this is the first thing I ever drove
Ours had a single front wheel though...But those cans over the stacks made me laugh when I saw this pic.....Did the same thing.

Always use coffee cans on the deeres. I have a stack on one of the cubs and it has a tupperware bucket.

They little atv has a new home in SC with two boys. They test rode it for about an hour.

I got the wiring figure out. Fixed the kill switch and the keyswitch issues. Not really sure what I did, but after missing with it for an hour and taking apart the handlebar kill switch, cleaning it the reconnecting everything it works.

Move the c-clip on the carb so that hopefully will cold start easier. Seems to not want to start unless it has some canned help. Probably partly old gas.

Next need to change the oil and lube the chain and send it on to its new home.

One more thing. I must have crossed some wires while probing and pop the fuse. Can't tell how many amps it is? Someone know that. I am going to replace the holder with a better blade style too.

Hehe...I just had the same experience with the motor on my swimming pool filter. It stopped working, and just hummed when I'd turn it on (only 2 years old!)- I took it apart, having no idea whatsoever of what I was doing...hoping to maybe find a capacitor or something that might be easy to replace. Well there was no capacitor...so I fiddled with a few things of which I have no idea what they are...put it back together...and now it works fine! (Even took it to an electric motor shop T'other day, just "to be sure", and they gave it a clean bill of health!)

Growing up in a the midwest I saw alot of tractors. Still play with them.

I can spot a a farmall easily. We had an H and a Super M. I drove the M about 20 miles once. Took an hour.

I must have a short someplace as I have blown two fuses now.

Going to have to go over the thing again.

Its gone. I rewired it will a new kill switch. My new Cub is sure NICE. It has a history of being passed around. My turn for awhile.

Time for a it trail tires and winch. These cubs work great for trail maintence.

As soon as my new camera arrives. Mine broke last week while taking pics of the CL project.

I have pics of my Dad's new cub complete with a loader and a tiller.

Oh, this cub is getting a makeover and some custom work.

Forgot to add. The new owners have been putting some miles on it.

Had an email from him. Said ATV wouldn't go. Problem was that the operator had a blister on the thumb from too much riding.
