linhai 260 headake!

I have a 2002 lanhai 260 2x4. after I ride the atv for a hour or so and get it real hot it wants to shut off and not idle. I can fire it right back up and ride it but I have to bump the throttle to keep it running. it has a new carb on it. I think the ignition coil is going out or the fuel pump but I'm not sure . Any thoughts on the subject ?

Check the basics 1st.
Valve clearence within limts? Since it's dc ign, the battery / charging system must in working order.
