Mine is holding up really nice. It's still nice and bright and I'm very happy with it. Still no damage to the reflector, as expected from a 35W lamp.

I actually just bought a new bike and i guess I've been spoiled by my Gennsi, because I can't stand riding the new bike at night. Guess I need to order another one

Well actually, we bought two bikes ...

First, we got a 2014 Ural Patrol so we can take our disabled son riding with us. And then I traded in my vstrom 650 for a Yamaha FZ-07, so I could go fast.

The Ural headlight was truly awful, so I replaced it with a 7" silverstar unit. It was better but not by much. So I'm going to spring for a nice 7" H4 reflector with a GENNSI to light up the road.

The FZ headlight is a 55W/60W halogen, but after the GENNSI, it's nothing special. So it's getting an upgrade too

LED lamp from CSC

I just installed the LED lamp sold by CSC.
Pretty painless. You need to reuse the locking ring from the halogen bulb to lock the LED mounting ring in place.
You also need to file down the tabs on the original locking ring to provide clearance for the large heatsink on the LED lamp.
I reused the original rubber boot after enlarging the hole to fit the heatsink.
I also added some vent holes in the back of the housing.
Here is a link to the steps involved:

How do you like it? Is it a big improvement over stock? Does the light pattern have a nice low beam cutoff?

I just noticed that on the ebay link for the GENSSi H4 kit that they offer a single bulb kit for $29.96. Based on the good reviews and this good price I'm going to order one for my new RX3 that coming in a few weeks.

Good find on the single lamp. They only had 2-packs when I bought mine. You're going to like that LED.

Another H4 LED option

Hi!

Looking for the GENSSI lamps advised here I´ve found another option:

https://www.amazon.com/HIKARI-LED-He...=HIKARI+LED+H4

Instead of the GENSSI´s Philips LumiLights chips it has a Cree set (XHP-50 + XM-L2, 2 each lamp), rated at 4800lm. There was a huge improvement over the OEM lamp illumination, and the beams are well focused and differentiated.

Was very easy to replace the OEM halogen with this one; don´t had to cut the plastic cover: it fitted perfectly.

Just installed the CSC LED headlight( Pathfinder H4 fanless heatsink) following your Youtube above. Simple is good!
