Parts for the Hawk 250cc

Does anyone know where to get parts for the Hawk dual sport enduro 250cc?

I found on another post here with a link to the carburetor for this bike on ebay and I am going to order that but I also wanted to change the front and rear sprocket to gear it a little better for the road. I haven't gotten the bike yet so I have nothing to compare it to and I don't know what size sprocket this bike will need.

Also does anyone know what size oil filter it will need?

Thank you for any help

I'd need to see pics of your bike to answer your questions.

I installed this 17T front, seems to work well....
http://www.ebay.com/itm/151719928903...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Also purchased this 45T rear, not sure I need to install???
http://www.ebay.com/itm/161739496711...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

The stock carb seems to be working well for me, FWIW....

The front sprocket change is easier and cheaper than the rear with no chain cutting needed, the 17T front for $9 is an easy job, and may be all that is required. At this point I'm uncertain if changing the rear from 50T to 45T is warranted and will be a benefit. I hate to go through the effort to change the rear, shorten the chain just to have to "undue" it...

The oil "filter" is just a mesh screen cup that is reusable, it is behind the large nut / cap on the low side of the engine.

Hawk

Thank You Wilserchinarider for the great info and links, How are you liking your bike so far?

I got mine today but by the time I got it put together and broke-in the motor I didn't have much time to ride.

I will post some pictures of my new bike soon.

You need to get a better carb. I replaced mine with a mikuni. Also get a NGK spark plug. Ebay is the best place to get a carb. NGK Spark plug is a DPR8EA-9. You should be able to get this from any Auto Parts Store

You can now use a credit card on eBay without PayPal. May not be a new feature, it new to me. Used it last night.

Side question that may help OP, do we know who makes the hawk engine? I know it's a pushrod hondiod, just curious.

This is the carb I put on my hawk as have many others on here.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the stock carb, just open it up, put a large round 110 main jet in it, shim up the needle and turn out the idle mixture screw to 1 3/4.

Jet: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171069472877
Procedure:

Note: I used a center punch to indent the screws and then tap on them to back them out rather than slot them with a dremel.
