The link to the ebayer on the Aero 125 thread on on Advrider who sells carbs is a guy in Taiwan--this makes sense! I hope to be able to buy a TGB scooter--love the idea of a Taiwanese 2-stroke!

Bike still running decent, has started no problem last two mornings. rode it to work two days in a row (only about 1.5 miles away but still ).

this morning though, after holding full throttle going about 35-40, the engine seems to loose power drastically, and i have to throttle down to regain power. it was pretty cold this morning, could this just be the bike needing to warm up. ill check later today if it does it after riding for a while. could it be a bad carb adjustment.

Put a hose where the open choke goes, to plug when it doesnt want to start.

can anyone spot it...

scooter finally looks normal other than a missing mirror.

i have a ninja, but there is something awesome about ripping around town on this 125.

guys, i found a guy who converted his choke into a manual choke. but im not exactly understanding how he did it. did he run a line from where the choke goes. to a valve, then to where the vacume tube goes on the intake? i dont think im understanding this right. heres the thread, its towards the bottom by Bear 45/70. if anyone can help explain how this is done i would be so thankfull!

I successfully found and replaced the stock carb with an after market ( was only $16 )

here is the link.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/172023372970...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

bolted right up, fit perfect. even came with the throttle slide and pin ( had no idea they came with carbs ) took a lot of looking and measuring to find one that would fit.

it wasn't idling so i put in the jets from the stock carb, into the aftermaket 16 dollar one. It did take a bit to get it to even idle. but after a little bit i got it, idling and running great.

Im suprised everything went as smooth as it did, from all the threads ive read There is no aftermarket carb that will fit and bolt right on, all the vm22's and vm20's were way to big for the bike.

heres some pics of it, and the

Keihin Carb
Carb # 00ACKB
Smaller jet = 95
bigger jet = 105 i believe (not 100% sure, will have to look)

had my girl friend film a short video to, so you guys can hear how it sounds.

Looks and sounds like she's running good. Maybe a tad lean.

That's the first I've heard of successfully using a four-stroke carb on a two-stroke. I've installed that very carb on a pit bike, but I never thought of your application. The pilot mixture screw on your new carb is designed to meter fuel, whereas typical two-stroke carbs have a PMS that meter air. As long as it works and you don't lean out, you've got a winner!

Heya weld! yeah that was my fear when i bought the carb that it was a replacement for all 4-stroke bikes. But I just assumed if i jetted it the same as the Original carb it would work out, and it seems like it did.

Still kind of a noob at tuning carbs. I need to get a couple more spark plugs to see if its running rich or lean. am honestly not sure where its at right now. weathers been crappy last few days so i havent really messed with it to much from where it was at in that video.

Made a hand choke attachment so i can put the side panel back on for good.

Used a plastic hanger, and some of these beebee's that turn into mold-able plastic once put in boiling water, and becomes 100% solid when put into cold water.

got it all setup, works great.

Choke opened up all the way.

and then closed all the way

okay so its not starting.

I Let my girlfriend ride it home the other night. she went to start it the next morning, and nothing. tried everything to get it to even slightly start. even in desperation tried a bit of starter fluid, still nothing, i have spark. gas appears to be entering the carb. could it be a dirty carb issue?

Im wondering if i need to adjust the valves. if that's even possible in this engine. i have no idea how to do it on this engine, if anyone who has done it before on this scooter could give me a step by step on how to do it, and how much, i would be supppper greatfull.

any help/ideas are appreciated, thanks!

What valves? Unless the reed valve has cracked, there is nothing to worry about there. Start with cleaning the carb jets and passages and go from there.
