Red hot muffler

Hello guys I got a 125 tr today and started it up let run for 5 min and the pipe right by the motor turned red hot Help pls

Sounds like it is jetted way too lean or you have a blockage in the carburetor.

I have an Apollo 250. Right after the bend there is a heat shield, and mine did the same thing on my first start. I think that is where the catalytic converter is on my bike. I had no problems so far, and the bike runs solid. My engine is an air cooled. Hope that helps.
