This engine is a Zongshen CB250F, specifically the 172FMM. Either designation might show up, but sometimes it shows CG engine. This is probably the most difficult issue with these bikes.

The X is back in stock at PSM. Haven't checked the ebay or Amazon listings. My son just ordered one. We were going to get an M but not sure if/when they will be back in stock. Having the 6th gear is useful anyway.

If you don't have a balance shaft then it's the CB250F(ZS172FMM-3A) but if you do have the newer Templar X with a balance shaft then you have the PR250(ZS172FMM-5). Just saying this so fdurancol can figure out which 172 he has. |
