2nd Generation, CSC Center Stand: Installation

Hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but I ordered a center stand along with my bike. I tried to put it on the other day and had the same problem that other's have had. The groves in the shaft are not spaced out properly. I was following the instructions on the CSC site.

Then it struck me as to why it had been drilled and tapped and they included a washer and bolt on one end.

I'm guessing this is their fix. So you only use a clip on one side???

I'll try to put this back on after work today and see what happens.
